The stress of finding the best places in eat in a Sydney are hard enough when you live there, but when you are visiting for 24 hours, it’s a bit more of a traumatic process haha! We will save you the hassle and let you know from our experience where we would eat if we only had 24 hours in Sydney CBD.
- Breakfast/Morning Tea
You can’t start the day off without a meal and we wouldn’t go past The Tea Cosy, located in The Rocks – it’s basically the best tea and scones we’ve found in town. There are over 30 teas to pick from, ranging from your basics to some interesting I’ve never seen before but they all sound delicious! The scones are served fresh every day and they are a variety to pick from, including sweet and savoury options (we love the cheddar scone with butter). They also have a large selection of jams including: Strawberry, Triple Berry, Pear & Vanilla, Fig & Ginger and they sometimes have special ones too!
Where can you find them? 7 Atherden St, The Rocks NSW 2000
When are they open? Mon – Fri, 10 am – 4 pm or Sat – Sun, 9.30 am – 5 pm
2. Lunch
I’m not sure about you, but I love noodles, hence why I have chosen Biang Biang as my next meal of your 24 hours in Sydney’s CBD. This place is hidden in a little alley in Chinatown and is the perfect spot to relax away from the crowds. You can go for their classic Biang Biang Noodles with Chilli Oil if you can handle the spice or the Biang Biang Noodles with Beef if you like it medium – otherwise there are more plain versions with stewed pork or minced meat and tomato. The meals are delicious and filling, especially if you love spicy food!
Where can you find them? Shop 39/1 Dixon St, Haymarket NSW 2000
When are they open? 12-10pm Mon-Sun
3. Dinner
Now to finish off the day with some dinner, there are so many trendy places to pick in the CBD but I like one hidden underground at the Regent Place – Assembly Bar. It’s basically a bar and restaurant in one and the food is delicious! Name any pizza or pasta and they have it – my personal favourite is the Lamb Ragu. They also have vegan options and vegan cheese that can be added to any meal which is great! Oh and don’t forget the cocktail menu, its a hard choice which one to pick but they do have a chart to let you know which ones are sour or sweet which I love!!
Where can you find them? 488 Kent St, Sydney NSW 2000
When are they open? 12pm-12am Tues-Fri or 4pm-12pm Sat or 12pm-10 Mon-Sun
We hope this has helped you pick where to eat in Sydney!
